Felix R. Carrillo received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Miami and then went on to receive a Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992 he began practicing law in Miami working for a litigation firm in the areas of construction defects, insurance defense and commercial litigation. After forming his own law firm he has represented numerous individual clients in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, real estate matters, business issues, insurance coverage litigation and consumer disputes. He has appeared in the trial and appellate courts of Florida, the Bankruptcy Court for the South District of Florida, and the Federal trial courts of the Southern District of Florida.
In his business life Felix has worked as a real estate developer, aside from practicing law. This has allowed him to bring practical experience to the practice of law. Felix brings a practical, common sense approach to the cases he handles for the people that are his clients. His practice focuses on representing clients with creative approaches to achieve the most effective and economical approach to achieve the client’s desired results. In most instances this entails helping clients understand the situations they are facing in a simple minded approach before helping them resolve their problems.
Felix is a member of the Florida Bar, Dade County Bar Association, Cuban-American Bar Association, United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Bankruptcy Division of the United States District Court for the South District of Florida.
Felix was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He is fluent in Spanish. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, which includes plenty of athletic events with his kids.
